My story, how it started

I have to admit I am thankful for the computer for one main reason, I used to burn through so much paper when I wrote. I could only erase so often before I would tear a hole through the paper. The old manual typewriter was fun unless of course I wound up with my finger missing the button and getting caught between two keys getting pinched.

I’ve always loved writing and I couldn’t help that feeling when I finally finished my first book. It felt so good to finish the story after so many problems along the way. I’m sure many other writers have dealt with this to some degree. I had lost my original story several times. I had first written the story on a manual typewriter. When I could no longer find the ribbon being sold in the stores I had planned on moving everything from my papers onto my brother typewriter, the ones that finally stored information. Instead my original manuscript wound up in the trash by accident with other loose papers. The first brother typewriter had liquid dropped on it so I lost my manuscript again.  Also going through three computer viruses and simply deleting the wrong file. Each time I’ve rewritten it and thankfully because of it I’ve done better every time.
